  1. Warren was so jammin I could not believe it…one of the best Sugaree’s I have ever heard. Other highlights were Minglewood, Cumberland Blues, The Other One and a SMOKIN Unbroken Chain. I was shocked at how tight they were. Awesome show.

  2. This show was terrible and so is Warren. He was not the guy to get to take the place of Jerry. They couldn’t get it together. Noodling all night and never fully coming together. Second set was HORRIBLE, wayyyy to slow. Nothing uplifting until the end and then it was over. The tickets were 100 bucks and it wasn’t worth it. We have been faithful fans for all these years and really were disappointed in the show. I think that will probably be our last…

  3. Great first set, but second set sucked. It was too slow with way too much jamming. Warren ought to be playing a supporting role rather than taking lead vocals on so many songs. This was a very slow, disappointing second set with only six songs over the course of two hours. Had it been Jerry on lead guitar, well that would be different. But not with Warren.

  4. YMMV, but I have to agree with Gr8fulJen here. Been seeing the band and all of the post-Jer incarnations since ’83 (upwards of 250 shows), and this was just awful. Jen nails it–just way too down-tempo. A few inspiring moments, but as a show it was a real sleeper. I can’t remember being so bored at a show in all my years…we and our crew were actually looking forward to it ending. I don’t remember ever having that feeling before.

  5. the show kicked ass.

  6. @Gr8fulJen

I completely agree. I swallowed the price of the ticket, but couldn’t swallow the performance. Unbroken Chains was a disaster. Also, the second set, after a trippy little drums-space was more of a tune-your-guitar session than a jam. Were the microphones broken? If not, why not use them??? I’m one of the faithful, but I was nothing but exhausted and disappointed after this sleeper.

  7. Chain*

  8. i thought the band was really tight sounding and i thought warren was amazing especially on sugaree which was probably the highlight of the concert.the only slight was the song selection which could have been better,it was boring at times but know fault of warren haynes who probably played better then Jerry the last couple of years he was there.

  9. Wow…I must’ve been in a really good section. I don’t know how this could be construed as a bad show. Sound was great, Warren wailed and injected some life into the band that hasn’t been there since the ’80s

  10. Been going to shows since 1970 and have seen the band more than 200 times. I enjoyed the show immensely. I really liked the laid-back second set…perhaps it is because I am probably older than some of your parents. I thought Warren did a fine job of doing the impossible…filling in for Jerry.

    Had a great time.

  11. Oh, and I agree with Barry. Warren sounded better than Jerry did the last couple tours, when he was obviously physically ill and sick to death of the whole scene.

  12. First set was tight! The sound mix was a bit off – okay a lot off. It was difficult to hear the keys – shy of a couple of moments and Phil was lost all together. It seemed all that you could hear were battling lead guitars. That being said – the first set was still rockin’. Loved the song choices. Unfortunately, and I don’t like to say it as I’m a dead-icated fan, the second set blew a big one. It was way too slow – would’ve been a great chance to catch some ZZZZZs.

  13. @K9Noir

  14. i agree with berry, warren sounded excelent he was amazing on sugaree i loved everything about the show but i didnt like space that much i thought they should of played darkstar before that
